Sandy Phillips

Sandy graduated with a dual degree in Theater Arts and Studio Arts from Chatham University in 2007 and is a member of local USA829.  She has enjoyed a freelance scenic artist career all across the country at such companies as Berkshire Theater Group, The Santa Fe Opera, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Indiana Repertory Theatre, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Barrington Stage Company, Ohio Light Opera, Pittsburgh Public Theater, City Theatre, and Shakespeare and Company.  She came to New York City in 2017 and has since been the Charge Artist for Showman Fabricators, where everything was painted from Broadway, to sets for CBS Sports and ESPN Studios, to Laser Tag Arenas, and displays for companies from Calvin Klein to Tiffany’s.  She then worked on several network television shows including HBO’s The Flight Attendant and The Undoing, Netflix’s The Watcher, and NBC’s Manifest and New Amsterdam, before stepping into the Charge position for the final two seasons of New Amsterdam, as well as charging the Pilot of Jesus and Nero for Showtime.  Sandy has also worked as a standby Scenic Artist for New Amsterdam and the pilot of At That Age.  Theatrical painting is her true passion, and she has most enjoyed working for Hudson Scenic and Scenic Art Studios on multiple Broadway shows including Sweeny Todd, Once Upon a One More Time, Monsoon Wedding, A Doll’s House, The Wiz, New York, New York, and national tours of Hamilton, Six and the Lion King.  She is currently working as a Project Manager for Scenic Art Studios.
