Gwen Cox graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Art’s BFA Scenic Painting program in 2013 and has painted for LORT theatres up and down the east coast since 2010. Credits include Riverside Theatre in Florida, Triad Stage in North Carolina, and five years as Charge Artist for Maine State Music Theatre’s educational fellowship program. Working in fast-paced environments while training apprentices has informed their philosophy of having a strong foundation in drawing and painting fundamentals while always remaining adaptable. Gwen has enjoyed painting productions that ranged from large scale musicals with lots of backdrops to immersive sets in blackbox spaces, as well as freelance illustration and set design work. Since 2016 they have been the Charge Scenic Artist for the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA.
